How to setup a KanBan project in JIRA

I am a supporter for Agile Methodology. In implementing agile, I prefer KanBan (maybe because I have spent 2 days in a Agile training which use KanBan as the tools). KanBan brings transparency to all the stakeholders and also developers. Below is the description from Atlassian: (apart from bugfix and maintenance, i think KanBan is good for new product development as well)

Kanban is a methodology that constrains the amount of work that can be assigned to a particular workflow state at any one time. This helps teams to optimise their lead time (or cycle time) — that is, the average time taken to complete a task.

• Many agile development teams find that Kanban is particularly well suited to bugfix or maintenance releases, where incoming tasks are triaged and then actioned according to their priority. As soon as there are enough completed tasks to constitute significant value, a minor version is created and released.

• Devops teams, or agile delivery teams, often use Kanban. These teams set a definition of done that includes the delivery of value to the customer.

How to setup a KanBan project in JIRA

1. Log in to JIRA.
    If you are on the JIRA Agile Getting Started page, simply click either Create a new board or Create a new project and board, then select (or create) a project, type the name of your new board — and you're done! Otherwise, please continue:
2. Select Agile > Manage Boards from the top navigation bar.
3. Choose Create board at the top-right of the page.
4. Pick Kanban . Note, you cannot change the board type after creation (that is, a Scrum board cannot become a Kanban board, and vice versa).
    Note that clicking the Create a Kanban board with sample data option will create a new project. Make sure you have the required permissions if you want to use that option, and note that creating a project from JIRA Agile requires the 'Browse Projects' permission in the Default Permission Scheme.
5. Follow the wizard to finish creating the board.
